Geography

At Bolton-By-Bowland our geography curriculum is designed to ensure that our children are exposed to a wide range of geographical concepts and regions. We are committed to engaging all children through using open ended questions to spearhead each unit of work to spark their curiosity in the wider world. We want our curriculum to create an interest in the rich and varied diversity of people and places around the world. We want our children to explore, appreciate and understand the world in which they live at a local, national and global level. Our curriculum focuses on both developing our pupils’ geographical knowledge and broadening their cultural awareness and appreciation of global issues. We want our children to experience and visit as many of these places first-hand as part of fieldwork and enrichment opportunities.
