Admissions Arrangements Consultation

The schools Admissions Authority, our Governing Body, must consult every 7 years to decide if there should be any changes to the Admissions Arrangements.  The aim of the consultation period is to allow the Local Authority, parents, other schools, religious authorities and the local community to raise concerns about the proposed admission arrangements.

For 2025-2026 the oversubscription criteria has been changed and section  3.5 concerning the Children of staff members has been removed:

Children of staff who have been employed in the school for the whole of the two years prior to the closing date for application, where the member of staff is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage. This applies to all staff, full and part time who are employed by the governing body.

A copy of the agreed full proposed Admission Arrangements for 2025-2026 will remain on the website for six working weeks, the duration of the consultation period, until Tuesday 9th January 2024.

Please send any comments to Mrs Jeanne Bishop, Chair of Governors, at j.bishop@bolton-by-bowland.lancs.sch.uk
