Maths

At Bolton-By-Bowland our children are enthusiastic and curious mathematicians. We follow the White Rose Maths scheme of work for mathematics. By using this scheme, we are able to ensure the continuity and progression of the subject throughout the whole primary phase. Our goal is to create an environment where all children are given the chance to succeed and progress. By using White Rose Maths and having a whole school engagement in the Maths Hub program, we are able to support and nurture all pupils’ fluency in mathematical concepts. We provide our children with relevant contexts to apply their maths learning too so that they are able to apply their skills to a variety of real-life situations. We also use Times Tables Rock Stars to support the rapid recall of multiplication and division facts across the primary phase.
