The Headteacher's Welcome

I am Mrs Joanne Abram, the Headteacher of Bolton-by-Bowland C E Primary School and may I take this opportunity to welcome you to the school. I hope you find the information on this website useful and informative. 

We are immensely proud of the children's achievements, their positive attitudes to learning and behaviour, the way in which they look after each other and their smiling faces as they bounce up the path in a morning.

At Bolton by Bowland, we aim to provide a secure, caring and stimulating environment in which children are encouraged to strive to do their best in all aspects of their development. All of this is done under the Christian guidance of Gospel values and encapsulated in the school's motto, 'Belong, Believe, Blossom'.

We believe that friendship, courtesy, respect and concern for others are as important as high standards of achievement in academic work.  To this end, we are determined to meet the needs of every child, celebrating the uniqueness of each child and give them every opportunity to excel in whatever field they can.

As a school, we work hard to create a lively, engaging and purposeful learning environment in which children will develop a love of learning.

As a church school, we enjoy close links with the church of St. Peter's and St Paul's and believe that the Christian faith underpins all that we do in school and permeates all aspects of school life.

At Bolton by Bowland, we actively encourage parents and the local community to become involved in the education of our children. We firmly believe that home and school need to work in partnership for the benefit of the children. Working together as a school family, we can ensure that children are both happy and successful at school.
