Implementation
At Bolton-by-Bowland, we have created a consistent approach to the teaching and learning of our Design and Technology curriculum.
All children complete design booklets for each project they undertake that shows each step of the research, design, make and evaluate phase. These books enable us to show the progression of skills across each project and the steps children have taken to create their final product. We use National Curriculum objectives alongside Lancashire Planning KLIPS and Kapow resources to map, monitor and ensure progression for all.
All staff have undertaken CPD at the local high school to further support their understanding and delivery of the subject. We have worked together to ensure all DT projects show a range of skills and link closely to the wider curriculum.
