French lessons take place weekly in Key Stage 2.  We have begun to use the Kapow scheme of work .The lessons are designed to be approximately 45 minutes in length. They comprise a review of previous learning, teaching of the new material, practice of these words and phrases and application of this new learning within conversations that build upon previous content. The lesson activities are challenging, varied and interactive and develop listening, reading, speaking and writing skills. The lessons are adapted to include all year groups, children with SEND and also take account of thos children who are more able.

Assemblies, French days and Bastille Day Celebrations enables the whole school, governors and parents to be immersed in the inclusion of the culture and use the language in a meaningful context.
