Impact

At Bolton-by-Bowland, we use a range of formative and summative assessments to assess the impact of our unique curriculum and determine the progress and attainment of the children in our care. 

Examples of this are:

• KWL grids at the start of each unit of work
• A key learning overview at the start of each unit of work that is annotated to record when a child has met an objective
• An end of unit quiz to assess the key knowledge and skills they have been taught
• Verbal and written feedback
• Moderation of work through book looks
• Pupil Voice
• Reports to parents
