School remains closed to children who have not already been attending during the last 10 weeks. If both parents of a two parents family are classed as Key Workers, or one parent in a one parent family is classed as a Key worker and they must return to work then we will accept them into school. Proof of Key Worker may be reuqired from your employer.
Lancashire County Council announced late on Thursday night that schools would not re-open for Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 until further notice.
We do not currently know when this will be but will try to keep you informed as quickly as possible of any change to these arrangements.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Our school will be closed to pupils from Friday 20th March until further notice as part of the Government’s response to the outbreak of COVID-19.
Despite our closure, we are determined to continue to support the families and children of our school who are learning at home during this period. Parents and carers, you will find some resources to support your child’s learning on the ‘Classes’ page of this website or it will be emailed to you by class teachers. The teachers will add new tasks and activities regularly so please check in daily to find out what’s new. We are hoping to keep the children’s learning moving forward the best we can so please help by supporting your child to complete the tasks if you can. If you have not already done so, please email you child’s class teacher with any work they have completed or just to keep in touch. Your child's class teacher will have made contact with you already.
Mr Holden, Mrs Humberstone, Mrs Ardern or Mrs Evans and a teaching assistant will be in school during the 'Bolton by Bowland' week each day as the school is remaining open for some of its pupils. You can continue to telephone school on 01200 447632 as normal but please respect that your call may not be answered immediately. Please leave a message and someone will get back to you. Alternatively, you can email Mr Holden at the following address: email@example.com.
When the children are at Grindleton, they will be cared for by a teacher and teaching assistant from there. The contact details are 01200 441257 but please respect that your call may not be answered immediately. Please leave a message and someone will get back to you. Alternatively, you can email Mr Holden at the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will miss seeing those of you that are learning at home whilst our school is closed but hope to keep in touch via email, Facebook and this website. Take good care of yourselves, stay safe and remember to be kind to each other. We’ll see you all again as soon as we are given the go-ahead to re-open.
With very best wishes,
