FRIENDSHIPS
This half term we have been looking at Friendships. We can now identify what makes a healthy friendship and have discussed how to reconcile our differences if / when we fall out! Here are some examples of our calming down and hotting up posters. The Y5 and Y6 children looked at different friendship scenarios and thought about how people could have behaved differently.

UNDERSTANDING CULTURAL DIVERSITY
We had an interesting discussion about cultural diversity and realised that here in Bolton by Bowland we don't have much as you might find in big cities! We all thought that it would be really interesting to chat with people from other cultures to find out what they eat, what they like to wear and what kind of music they listen to!

CELEBRATING WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY
Today, we all wore yellow. We talked about the importance of looking after our mental health and the sorts of things we can try to help us feel better. We did some chair yoga and went for a mindfulness walk. We are so lucky to have such gorgeous surroundings. We saw nearly every colour of the rainbow on our walk!
OUTDOOR ELEMENTS VISIT
We had a fabulous day at Outdoor Elements! We took part in lots of problems solving activities that required super teamwork. Some of the tasks were really tricky but Mrs Ardern's group showed real resilience and perseverance! Well done team pirates!
