We had a very exciting morning today! Gemma came in to teach us all about the importance of having a positive growth mindset. We all have some practical ideas that will help us deal with negative thoughts. Thankyou Gemma!

THE ART OF THE BRICK ART EXHIBITION IN MANCHESTER
We really enjoyed our visit to the exhibition. Everything was made from LEGO. It was amazing!
We analysed different portrait styles and discussed the use of colour. We then adapted our pencil portraits to create some fabulous effects. We are getting very good at mixing our own shades and colours now!
We used an atlas to locate and name countries in the 'Ring of Fire'. We used lines of latitude and longitude to find exact locations. We are getting much more confident when presenting our finding to the class.
We had great fun developing our fieldwork skills in our local environment.

We have worked hard to develop our chronological knowledge of the British Timeline. We have a very clever way of remembering all the main time periods and enjoyed presenting this to parents!
We invited Mr Darlington into school; he is a local history expert. We asked him lots of questions about the history of our village and presented our findings in the form of a booklet.
We have looked at what makes a community and we appreciate that there are a range of identities in the UK. We enjoyed looking at the Divali celebrations around the world.
We had a sneaky peek inside the Bolton - by - Bowland polling station on election day; we found it really interesting and it made learning about democracy relevant.
We celebrated mental health awareness day by wearing yellow.

We designed and started to make our BbyB bunting just before lockdown.
We represented physical features of our local landscape using felt and other materials.
