Trail : home : School Council

The School Council meets every Wednesday lunchtime.  It consists of children from all years, teachers and a parent governor.

The Council meets to discuss fundraising throughout school.  The children have organised various Fairtrade activities including coffee mornings and a Fairtrade Breakfast. The School Council helps organise charity events such as Children in Need, Comic Relief and Sports Relief.

The School Council is also the opportunity for the children to voice their suggestions. They recently said they would like a ping pong table, new wet play equipment, and new scooters for break times. They, along with FOBBS help to rise funds towards these items.

The School Council members hold and minute their meetings with Miss Walberg and a representative from each year is on the Council. They learn how to respect each other's opinions, present ideas to assemblies, identify their chosen charity and work hard to raise money for school and their charity.  All School Council members are elected by the rest of the children and hold their membership for the full school year, after which a new School Council is elected.
